Archive or restore an item
Retire equipment you sold, scrapped or lost. Its history is kept, and it stops counting against your plan.
Archive an item when it is sold, scrapped, stolen or lost for good. FlowNext doesn't delete equipment that has history: the record of where it went and who had it is exactly what you may need later.
Archive an item
- Open the item and press Archive in the header.
- Confirm. The item leaves the equipment list and the dashboard counts.
An archived item:
- doesn't count against your plan's item limit;
- keeps its history, documents and maintenance log;
- shows “This equipment has been retired. Hand it to the office.” to anyone who scans its tag;
- still appears in the equipment export, and reads “Retired” in the cost of ownership report.
Find and restore an archived item
- On Equipment, change the Active filter to Archived and press Filter.
- Open the item and press Restore.
Restoring needs a free slot on your plan, just like adding an item.
Locations are archived the same way, from the location's page — once nothing is left there. See Add yards, vehicles, jobsites and people.
