An equipment maintenance log, and a clear signal when to stop repairing
Log service and repairs against each machine with the cost and the hour reading. FlowNext adds it up against what you paid and flags the items that have cost half their price in repairs.
Screens from a demo account with made-up equipment and people.
A service history that stays with the machine
Each maintenance entry records what was done, when, by whom, what it cost and the hour meter at the time. It sits on the item's Maintenance tab alongside the hour readings your crew logs from the tag, and in its full history.
When you sell a machine or a warranty claim asks for proof of service, it's all in one place — and exports to CSV.

Repair or replace?
The cost of ownership report puts each item's purchase price next to everything spent repairing it. When repairs reach 50% of the price, the item is flagged Consider replacing — on the report, in the Monday digest and in the CSV.
| Item | Price | Repairs | Share | Flag |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Generator | $1,349 | $865 | 64% | Consider replacing |
| Boom lift | $38,500 | $640 | 2% |
Example figures. The 50% line is a rule of thumb to start a conversation, not a financial verdict.
Good to know
- Maintenance logs are on the Pro and Business plans, and on every free trial. Starter tracks custody, hours and inspections.
- Costs are what you enter. Uploaded receipts are filed and read for dates, but their amounts aren't added to the log for you.
- Service intervals by hours or days can be set on a category for reference; FlowNext doesn't send service reminders yet — only inspection reminders.
Questions
Which plans include the maintenance log?+
Pro and Business, and the 14-day free trial.
How is cost of ownership worked out?+
The item's purchase price sits next to everything logged for repairing it. When repairs reach half the price, the item is flagged so you can decide whether to keep fixing it.
Does FlowNext remind me when service is due?+
No. Reminders are for inspections. Service is logged as it's done, with the hour reading, so the history is there when you need it.
