What the coloured stripe on a document means

Red, amber, green and grey: how a certificate's or warranty's status is decided and shown.

Each document on an item's Documents tab has a coloured stripe down its left edge, and the same status in words beside it — the colour is never the only clue.

Inspection certificates

  • Red — “Failed inspection”: the certificate records a failed inspection.
  • Red — “Expired …”: its expiry date has passed.
  • Amber — “Expires in N days”: it expires within 30 days.
  • Green — “Valid until …”: it's current.
  • Grey — “No expiration date”: no expiry is on file. The item's next inspection then comes from the category's interval, if it has one.

Warranties

  • Green — “Warranty active until …”.
  • Amber — “Warranty ends in N days”: within 30 days.
  • Grey — “Warranty ended …” or “No end date”.

Manuals, receipts and other files

A light grey stripe: on file, with nothing to expire.

“Soon” is the same 30 days the dashboard uses, and days are counted in your company's time zone (Settings → General).
