What the dashboard shows

The five counters, the Needs attention list and Recent activity, and what each one counts.

The Dashboard is the first screen after signing in. Every counter is a link: it opens the Equipment list filtered to exactly what it counts.

The counters

  • Equipment: every active item. Archived items are not counted.
  • Checked out: items at a jobsite, in a vehicle or with a person, rather than at a yard or warehouse.
  • Out of service or in repair: items whose status is Out of service or In maintenance.
  • Inspections overdue: items whose next inspection date has passed.
  • Due within 30 days: items whose next inspection falls in the next 30 days.

Red and amber numbers mean there is something to act on. How the next inspection date is decided is explained in How an item's next inspection date is worked out.

Needs attention

A short list of overdue inspections first, then items out of service or in repair, then inspections coming due, each with where it is now. When there are more than fit, the links underneath open the full filtered list.

Recent activity

The latest moves, scans, problem reports and repairs, with who did each. View all activity opens the activity log.
