Scan a tag
Point your phone's camera at a FlowNext tag, or use Scan a tag for barcodes and older stickers.
FlowNext QR tags: just use your camera
Open your phone's camera, point it at the QR code on the tag and tap the link that pops up. The equipment's page opens in your browser: what it is, where it is, its status, and the buttons to Move it, Report a problem, Log hours and Add photos.
Photos
A photo is the office's proof of what you saw. Report a problem and Move it each have a place for one (the damage; where you left it), and Add photos is for anything else — the serial plate, its condition when you picked it up. Photos are made smaller on your phone before they're sent, so they go through on a weak signal.
Barcodes and older stickers: use Scan a tag
Your phone's camera only opens FlowNext's own QR codes. For barcodes and asset tags your company already had:
- On your FlowNext home screen, press Scan a tag (or Scan at the top of any FlowNext page).
- Allow the camera if your phone asks.
- Hold the code inside the frame. The equipment opens as soon as it's read.
If the camera can't read it, type the code printed on the tag into Or type the code on the tag and press Go.
If it says the tag isn't set up
Tell the office: they need to link that tag to the equipment it's on. See When a tag isn't recognized or isn't linked.
Scanning on its own changes nothing, though the office can see that the item was scanned and by whom.
