Report a problem with equipment
Mark an item out of service from its tag. The office is emailed straight away.
If equipment is broken, damaged or unsafe, report it from its tag so nobody else picks it up.
- Scan the tag and press Report a problem.
- Say what's wrong in a few words — “Hydraulic leak at the boom cylinder”, “Cord cut near the plug”.
- Add a photo of the problem if you can: under Photo of the problem, take one with the camera or pick one you already took. Up to 4.
- Press Report and mark out of service.
What happens next:
- The item is marked Out of service. Anyone who scans it sees that.
- The office is emailed straight away, along with the person in charge of where the item is. Your photos are in the email.
- Your note and photos are saved in the item's history with your name and the time.
Pull the item off the job if it's still in use, and tag it out the way your company does. The office sets it back to available once it's fixed. See Move an item or change its status from the office.
